WELCOME BACK TO TERM THREE – THE BUSY TERM!!!!

16 17 18 August - RAD examinations
Sunday 4 September – concert costume distribution day
Mon 22 August – Sat 27 August RAD grades OPEN WEEK
Sat 4 September – Friday 9 September ALL OTHER CLASSES OPEN WEEK
Friday 9 September – End of Term 3
Saturday 17 September – Carnival Parade
Saturday 3 December – Cinderella – Empire Theatre
Sunday 4 December – Break up party - Studio
Students have been working very hard towards RAD and SFD examinations and we wish them all the very best of luck. Higher level SFD jazz and tap examinations will be held in August – dates to be advised soon. It is really important that students attend every lesson this term to ensure that they achieve the best result possible.
Congratulations to Simon Duncan who achieved a Commended in Level 10 Tap in his examination in June. There are very few students who attempt this level of examination, and he has done a tremendous job with this result!!
I am looking for willing hands to trace the first pattern for people to copy. If you can help, please call me! I am also looking for helpers on the following dates to assist in dividing and distributing fabric for concert costumes. Please call me if you can be of assistance if only for a short time.
Sunday 28 August for division of fabric and Sunday 4 September for distribution of fabric.
We are hoping to have all patterns ready for tracing in the front office from Monday 15 August. This means that if you have the time whilst waiting for your child, you can trace your pattern then.
PLEASE NOTE THAT MRS TANIA CRUST WILL BE IN THE STUDIO ON SATURDAY MORNINGS IN AUGUST TO TAKE BOOKINGS FOR COSTUME MAKING. TANIA REQUESTS THAT YOU BOOK EARLY PLEASE!!
Please note that the $35 costume charge does NOT include the making of costumes. If you do not wish to make the costumes yourself, Mrs Crust is available to make them and her charges should be negotiated directly with her.
You will notice that I have altered the RAD grades viewing dates this term. This is to enable you to see your children perform their examination work immediately after the examinations. They should be brilliant!!!
We are still in negotiation for new studio premises for next year. We’ll keep you all informed as the news breaks!!
