MAY 2005
Dear All
Well Term 2 is now in full swing and we are on the slippery slope towards examination time for our lower level jazz and tap students. Examinations for these students will be held on Friday 10 June, and your child will receive a note shortly with her times and instructions for examination day.
The response to the Dance Intensive from June 20 to June 24 has so far been slow. Our faculty for the workshops is shaping up to be a fantastic one, so please take the opportunity to attend if you can. Please remember that for students attempting an RAD examination this year must attend the workshops. I know that a lot of students just assume that Miss Vallette “knows” that they are coming, but this is not the case. Please make sure that you complete the workshop form and return it to me NOW. Updated timetables are available in the front office

Miss Geraldine will be leaving us for a while as she has knee surgery later this month. If there are any changes to class times for these students, a note will be sent home. Miss Geraldine will finish with us on the 19 May. We hope that she recovers well and that she returns to us when she is well enough.
Planning is already under way for the end of year performance. A meeting was held for parents interested in helping with costumes this week, thanks to those who attended. If you think that you would like to help, please let Miss Vallette know. You don’t necessarily need to be able to sew; it is amazing what headdresses can be made with a few pipe cleaners!!
