CONGRATULATIONS to all Dance Central students and teachers who were involved in Beauty and the Beast. If you didn’t have a chance to go and see the show – it was amazing, a great tribute to the talents of all those who were on stage and backstage
COSTUME HAND OUT will happen on Sunday 2 September. Please ensure that you have paid for your costume prior to this date. Costume costs are $45 per costume. An envelope was posted out to you in your account at the beginning of tern
COSTUME VOLUNTEER MEETING If you have volunteered or are able to volunteer, please come on Wed 8 August at 5.45pm. Fabric has now mostly been divided, but I am still looking for parents to assist in tracing the first patterns and also with creating headdresses for the various costumes.
R.A.D EXAMINATIONS ARE LOOMING!!! Please make sure that you are aware of your examination time. Notes have also been handed out about examination requirements (hair shoes etc). Good luck to all students who have worked hard to achieve their very best this year. I know that all your hard work will pay off!!
SECURITY ISSUES – Please note that we have had a couple of items taken from the front foyer area. Please make sure that you have all belongings secure at all times. The studio door is locked in the evening after 7.00pm and access is via the bell. Also please ensure that you come into the building to collect your child – students are again starting to wait outside the building for collection and this is a safety issue and is in direct contravention of the studio rules.
S.F.D EXAMINATION DATES HAVE BEEN CONFIRMED FOR THE 8 AND 9 SEPTEMBER. Times are still to be advised, but will be posted on the noticeboard early next week.
TIMETABLE CHANGES may be necessary for the 14 – 17 August for those students who have early classes. Notices will be handed out if this affects your child. Also please note that classes will not be held on Saturday 8 September due to S.F.D examinations. However the final day of term 3 will be extended to include Saturday 22 September to make up these classes.
VACATION SCHOOL was a great success and I would like to thank Miss Whitten Miss Elissa Mr Simon and Miss Caroline for their fantastic work in preparing students for the upcoming exams.
Happy Dancing
Alison
